Schools to adopt spoken English

As youngsters seeking jobs and careers abroad throng the spoken English centres for a crash course to brush up their English-speaking skills, some schools in the city have decided to take up the task as early as in Class I itself. As many as 40 city schools have adopted a new spoken English syllabus, formulated by former British Council teacher Don Dallas, where students, from Class I to VIII, are taught to converse in the language free of any regional-language influence.
